I've got to get to work, but I wanted to make sure I posted about yesterday, even though internet was down again last night.

Day of Fail
Twitter didn't sanitize JavaScript input, the internet keeps going down, running into walls with SQL at work...talk about a day full of fail. It wan't a bad day though. Work was alright, with only the debugging of SQL being an issue. Home was good, got caught up on all my TV shows except for one or two, and even saw the premier to Lone Star. Its alright. I might watch just because its about Texas.

Coding on the Side
Today was the first day I really wanted to code on the side. Everything I do may or may not be owned by id Software, so if I do any work it will be for personal use or open source. I keep getting ideas for an integrated home network, phone applications to control them, a database suite for allowing dynamic updating of applications with little developer action, and a whole lot of other stuff.
Only big news to come out of today is that I deleted my Facebook. I have had it with that site, and there is no good reason for me to stay there. I have this blog for a reason. I have a Titter account for casual interaction with like minded people and friends, and I have a phone that can email, text, or call people. No need for Facebook in my life. As for all the people I've lost on there, it sucks, but life existed before Facebook and will continue to exist after.

Misplaced Blame
Turns out Oktoberfest wasn't to blame. The internet was even bad this afternoon while I was at work, going into the early evening. At 1am it got better for some reason. Who knows why.
Also, this is for Sunday's stuff. Umm, food, Halo, more Halo. I wish I had posted this yesterday, but again, no internet.

Reaching for the Internet
Get it? Get it? REACHing for the internet? Ya, I know. It was a terrible joke. Most of the day was spent working on my computer, watching things from Netflix, or playing Reach online. Definitely a lot of fun. Too bad the internet has regularly been dying every night, so our gaming sessions have to cut short around 8pm. Oh well.

Lousy Internet
My internet has been terrible, which is why I didn't post something last night. Twenty-four hours later its still horrible. Many packets are getting dropped, connections are next to nothing, and frustrations are high. In the afternoon when no one is around its fine though. I'll just add it to the list of broken electronics, including my desktop's LAN chips, Windows Genuine Verification, my DVR, my HD channels, and everything else in life.
To sum up yesterday: awesome. Best day at work ever. The first part was a normal day. At 5pm, however, it was party time. We had Nerf guns, drinks, and Rock Band; everything a nerd party needs. Shooting your CEO with a Nerf machine gun: priceless.
I got home and played Reach until 4am. And that's how my life is and will be forever.

Recharged
It only took 45 seconds after my head hit the pillow before I fell asleep last night. The sleep was really good, too. I can't wait to catch up some more tonight, getting just under 8 hours probably.
Work was work. I finished up on one thing and started on the next, now having lots of fun using SQL to figure out what to keep and what to delete on our servers. Its simple now, but when its done it will work with data from many systems to rank how good a build is. This is going to take a while.
Tomorrow the build team (including me) is interviewing Dan Martinez, one of my old lab instructors from Full Sail. That should be interesting. Don't know what to think of this situation...
I'm glad to say I made a trip to Walmart tonight, so at last I have some of the few things I need to survive. This meant I could play one mission in Reach comfortably before realizing it was midnight and starting this. If I hadn't stayed at work late and then spent forever at Walmart getting stuff, I'd have gotten to play a second. Oh well.

Let Me Sleep
I haven't slept yet. I helped Steve move from uptown to Addison Circle. Heavy things, bulky things, a truck full of things. No sleep. Food, shower, work. This past week has been a killer to my sleeping patterns. Its 10pm and I'm headed to bed. Just a bit of Reach was good enough for me tonight.
